physics class
(how) was more practical than english literature (why) so it was the logical choice. the first thing we learn is ampere and voltage, i connect the wrong terminals and tick hand snaps. i fail my first test and that is okay, we all need to adjust, and then we learn that normal reaction is the force perpendicular to two surfaces. they are parallels in the sense one goes up and one goes down. i fail my second test and that is okay, one light in a parallel circuit is a reasonable sacrifice. my teacher screams at me for not knowing the three finger rule. i say it takes 2 to tie a noose, a bit more to die inside, and a secret to swallow whole. he ignores me. i fail my third test and realise i don’t need to know velocity to jump off a building. the next day i drop physics.
